Loathe:
* I think I’ll just let the previous post fill this slot this week.
Love:
* The movie The Blind Side. We saw it in the theaters and loved it so much, Tony bought it this week on DVD. Watched it again, and still love it. I’m a bit annoyed about that, because you know when people ask, “What’s your favorite movie?” I may have to change my answer… this is a big deal. I must give this issue proper consideration, can’t just decide that over night.
* $.25 hot dogs on Wednesday nights at Weinerschnitzel.
* Tony bought melon seeds at the store the other day. He has no idea where he’s going to grow them, we really don’t have any sunny spots around our place. But I just love his enthusiasm and desire to try to grow plants.
* I read in my community’s newsletter that they’ll start heating our pools in time for spring break/Easter. One more week!!
* I had a hot fudge sundae tonight. It was dark and we were driving to the mountains, and kept thinking I’d spilled it on my shirt, but I hadn’t. We got to the cabin and I looked in the mirror and started laughing. No chocolate shirt, but a chocolate chin. I looked like I had a chocolate beard.
* How joyful our little bird is every morning when she sees me. It’s such a sweet thing to watch her perk up, chirp and lean way far out to climb on my finger. Especially when I remember back to how when we first got her, we had to chase her all over her cage.
One Last Thing:
So, I made it through the week and still have my job… which is nice. More importantly, things seem to be doing OK as far as my health. I learned that Aleve (naproxen sodium) is my friend, especially when taken on a consistent basis. I feel tender, swollen and very tired, all of which seem like normal and expected things given what my body has been through, and I plan to go have blood work done next week to make sure my hormone levels are where they’re supposed to be.
But… I’m OK.
Ok is good. Even if you aren’t ok sometimes, that’s ok too. There are no rules here. Breathe in, breathe out and know that you are being prayed for, loved and tenderly carried by our Abba Daddy right now. Have another hot fudge sundae. That seems to help me sometimes when nothing else does.
I’m just taking it one day at a time. Sometimes one moment at a time.
What was your original favorite movie? I might have known the answer to this at one point, but YOU know how bad my memory is. hehe.
Speaking of plants, my MIL has an angel bell tree or something like that … it blooms pink, apparently. But she doesn’t have the room to grow it. She’s tried, but it doesn’t want to grow in a pot. Do you want it? Or do you know anyone who might? She doesn’t want to just throw the poor thing away.
mmm, hot fudge sundae! π
I’m glad we didn’t get together this week because I’ve got a sore throat. π¦ I don’t feel BAD, but you know… I’m probably a little bit contagious.
Also, I’m glad you’re doing okay. π xoxoxox
My original favorite movie, and still is until I have time to re-evaluate it, is 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. (sigh) I love Drew Barrymore… but may have to opt for Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw (drool), BOTH of whom I adore.
An Angel Trumpet tree? Why, certainly, I would love to have it. π
So when DO you want to see me?? xoxo
I am glad you are ok, glad you still have a job, would have loved to have seen the chocolate beard ;), and ya’ll could always install lights in the guest bedroom and turn it into an indoor greenhouse… or would that be a green room, only with out the celebs sitting on the couch…. gah I’m rambly today.
Love you sweetie!
That chocolate beard thing was so funny… I kept swiping the front of my shirt, thinking I’d dripped chocolate (there was WAY too much chocolate in that sundae), and I never found any. Then, I finally got in the cabin in front of the mirror and was all, “That’s where the chocolate was going…” Sheez. You would have thought I had a Jay Leno chin or something, the way it was catching everything.
*muwah*
Glad you’re doing better. And still employed.
I haven’t had a hot fudge sundae in a long time. Too many carbs. But I can just imagine you with a chocolate chin! Too funny!
*grin* Sometimes carbs are necessary for a good laugh.
i loved blindside too. i went with my mother-in-law on a girls night out π we both loved it. getting away to nature and being okay, sound good.
Tony complains about dust in the air when we watch Blind Side. hehe Dust in the air…. rrrrright. π
Nature is always good. And there’s just enough snow left to make it wintery-coming-up-on Spring. π
Haven’t seen the movie yet but it’s going on my Netflix queue as I type. I mean, apart from the fact that you love the movie, I almost feel like renting the movie is my way of supporting Sandra Bullock.
First week at a new job is always rough, but I’m glad you made it through (of course, I knew you would). I’m planning on being in the San Jose area in May and I was trying to figure out a way to come out and see you but I know you’re probably going to be busy and I’m probably too far away from you, though I would really love to see you, I just don’t know how I’m going to manage it. Didn’t mean to ramble, guess I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you.
Sandra Bullock, gah, I’m so angry at her husband. How could he? *steam comes out of ears* What a fool he is.
San Jose, huh? Well, my high school friend (cartoonist at large) lives up in Salinas and I did promise her we’d get together again soon… May, though. I was just up there. (sigh) You gonna go to the Winchester House? You should. It’s 5 minutes (literally) from San Jose airport.
The mountains were great sweetie pie and Aleve is good too. Did you get the mess, lol. Love you cutie pie, XXOXOXOXOX

Aleve is a miracle drug for lady problems.
MAYBE I got the mess? MAYBE??
xoxo
I missed your reply! I’m always slow replying here. Sorry!!!
I’ll try and get that tree (which is suffering right now) over to you as soon as I can. π
I’ll email you about other possible dates… Maybe we can do a Souplantation date or something… hehe. π
HA HA! It’s because I’m an irregular responder to comments, don’t feel bad! π
Mmm, Souplantation! I have coupons! π
