I just thought I’d share some pictures from my world, taken over the last couple of weeks.
Halloween decorations are down. My work area is now decorated for autumn. Simple things like this make me very happy.
I can’t believe the trees around me actually have color. I know you Easterners are all, “Not a big deal, California chickie!” But in the most mundane of places reside these trees… the parking lot at my work place.
When we had a full moon last week…
When we went to the mountains the weekend after my birthday, we were coincidentally treated to witnessing the first snow of the season. We love that.
The mountain donkey was out for a visit.
I love Arby’s Jr. Roast Beef sandwich… Tony loves their Arby-Q sandwich. We both love the bag they give it to us in.
My albino fish has a weird something or other on her tail. I have no idea what it is. Her activity level seems okay, though, and none of the other fish seem to be infected. Just the strangest thing.
This is what I’m greeted with every morning now that the weather has turned cooler. That little green spot in the middle of the picture is our birdy’s butt. Lest you think she’s actually cold, remember she has a heated perch that she’s also sitting on.
My cat, Tug, found a sun spot to rest his front paws. That made him very happy.
Happy Friday to you and hope you have a good weekend!

I don’t know how anyone could be blase about autumn colors. I wish we had them in TX, but they seem to turn sometime in January.
I love that you decorate your work place…And I can see why that would make you Happy! Beautiful tree in that parking lot—I LOVE seeing the snow from the mountains……It’s also lovely to see all your dear pets….! Have a WONDERFUL Weekend, my dear.
Sometimes you need to enjoy the little things as the big things can make us crazy. That perspective is very important as a parent. Thanks for the reminder.
Doppelganger alert: I spotted your separated-at-birth twin in Cancun last weekend. Only difference is that she wears her hair short, which also looks good, should you ever.
I might seem really stupid here, but I didn’t know that trees changed colour in California! I thought it was too warm. Is this normal? Am I just an ignorant Canadian? 😦 I just learned that trees change colour in Atlanta, GA too. I feel like my entire life I have been lied to being told it’s just the North East US and Canada! Hmmph.
I know I am totally jinxing this now, but we have yet to have our first snow here, yet all over North America people are talking about the snow! I am surprised by this because Montreal generally has snow in October – we’ve had an unusually warm (relative, here) and sunny autumn. This is also the first year I am OK with the delay in snow fall. I’m just not myself this year. Sigh.
I love the birdy butt lol. Tooo adorable! Have you seen the video of the birdy that makes itself new feathers out of magazine pages… totally cute!
The world is beautiful through your eyes. Thank you for sharing.
Love it- so wish we had fall colours here! I have Christmas decorations up since Halloween seemed to just blow by…
Just wanted to stop by and wish you a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Hope you are having a lovely Turkey Day, my dear.
awww … love the pics … and the trees are a wonderful colour!!!
