We kept hearing a clinking sound and went to investigate. Figaro had found his favorite ball (yay!)… he will play with it for hours, but it frustratingly gets under the furniture. Apparently, he figured out that he won’t lose it under the furniture if he plays with it in the bathtub. No escape this time, little ball!

The Child was Professor Snape for the first half of trick-or-treating. Costume change for the second half into his Minecraft Netherite Armor. Heh
I was Barbie, as usual. The outfit we wore was leather pants with our Happy Halloweenie t-shirt.
The Husband wore his scary pumpkin shirt.
Then the Child had a sugar crash.

Yesterday was such a beautiful sunny day with lots of wind to cool us down in Ennis, TX. 2Xtreme Racing put on a great show! Oh, and I got to sing the National Anthem (with lots of wind).

South Dakota
South Dakota: Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, Custer Park, Norbeck Overlook and a simple evening walking the property at our hotel, hanging out by the train tracks and then the fire pit.
The scent memory is strong – the sweet scent of pine trees and slight nip of mountain air. Indescribable, but much loved here.

Bible Bee – Proclaim Day
Today was Proclaim Day for Bible Bee. This is a summer program that the Child has been working on under the supervision of my mom.
He completed a workbook entitled “Redeemed” about Ruth, and he memorized 14 verses, and then recited them in front of two judges. He also took a written test today. He was beyond shocked when he won 1st Place today for the Primary division. He’ll take another test this week to see if he moves on to the Nationals.
It has been an emotional rollercoaster for him today. So proud of him.
