I really don’t know why, but the pee collection task turned into a huge, inconvenient ordeal this time around. First of all, I’ve had the collection thing since the beginning of the year and I just kept “forgetting” to do it.
Then, this morning, I didn’t leave the house in time to take the jug to the lab before work. So, I stuck it in a brown paper bag, stapled the bag closed and stored in the fridge at work until lunch time. When I left for lunch, I put my closed bag in the passenger seat, buckled it in and I called Tony at work to announce, “I’m a transporter!”
“A transporter of what?”
“A transporter of PEEEEE!”
There was a moment of silence while he registered what I had said and then a low chuckle was his response.
I have never been so glad to be done with a project in all my life.

Congratulations to the end of the project! And be careful not to spill it!!!
Jeanette replies:
HA! That’s why I put it in a seat belt! π
Medical stuff is always a bitch. I once had to wear a portable EKG for 24 hours. My poor Mom had to collect a home stool sample once! Ack! I’m just glad I don’t have to prick myself every day to check blood sugar levels. I really feel for those people.
Jeanette replies:
An EKG! Now THAT must’ve been fun. You know, I wouldn’t want to have to go get my blood cleaned like people with kidney probs. My former upstairs neighbor had to do that three times a week, she’d been waiting for new kidneys for three or four years. Traveling was a hoot for her, it revolved around finding a blood station.
In the fridge at work???? that has all the makings of a good sitcom episode….
Jeanette replies:
I know… hehe. I wanted to avoid doing that, but just couldn’t…
Another thing to add to your resume! Pee Transporter!!!!
Jeanette replies:
Good times, good times! π
the fridge at work! *shudder* hehehe… if they only knew… yes. i know it’s all sealed… but STILL. hehe…
the transporter is a fun movie. hehe.
Jeanette replies:
I liked that movie… hehehe, I know I felt all gross putting it in the fridge. Then when I went to get it, I was so glad it was in a brown paper bag because all the girls were eating their lunch. *shudder*
Good thing nobody tried to steal your “lunch” from the fridge. Imagine their surprise!
Jeanette replies:
Heh, yeah, I don’t think they’d have liked it very much.
hehehe… that would’ve been funny if they asked what was in your bag… π
Jeanette replies:
I’d have said it starts with the letter “P”. π
