Bargain Hunters.

One of the reasons that Tracey and I have been friends for such a long time is that we do not attempt to disguise who we are. We don’t put on airs. We are, quite simply, bargain hunters. That’s right. We love going to dollar stores, where you can find really cool stuff for a dollar. Today, we went over to Ennis and went to the Dollar Tree. They had a lot of “memory candy”. We bought candy cigarettes, candy necklace, rings & bracelets, SquareBob Spongepants shrimp patties (like gummy bears shaped like a hamburger), candy corn and cookies. All that was for us. For the kids we got some vanilla flavored hard candy and sno-caps.

My only regret about this trip is that Tracey and I didn’t have time to get to any garage sales or thrift stores. We always have such a fun time doing that … either finding good bargains or making fun of the stuff. Either way, it’s fun.

I just printed out my boarding pass for tomorrow’s flight. I’m feeling mixed emotions. I’m excited to go see my aunt in Iowa, but sad to leave my best friend behind. (sigh) I miss my bargain hunting buddy … why’d she have to go and move so far from California??
